This visual was created from wave inspiration. I thought i wanted to capture kinetic energy within a circular motion to float on the water screen. This was created by using generating a fractal displacement map and then adding a radial lens blur on top. Applying an expression on the fractal displacement means that the blurred circular image twists and twines as they change colour when i applied multiple layers after pre-composing the first initial circular animation. Displacement evolution expressions are great for creating surreal imagery because they can give you a lot of control without making the actual animation look too artificial.
You can see i applied the different layers and reversed some to make the animations look natural and unique to each other. I also love mixing the colours blue and red together because it gives interesting contrast and also adds depth to the waves. I think the circular motion captures energy in a nutshell. Whenever i have looked at concepts that involve “Energy” they always appear to take a sphere form. Examples are from Marvel films or from various graphic novels. Anyways here is the visual.
